Weekly Themes

Week 1:  June 3 – 7      

  • Construction Zone…..JR CAMP: Campers will play and learn to build with blocks, Legos during the week. Get ready, young builders! It's time to astonish everyone with creative contraptions and impressive structures in these extreme engineering challenges. Each day with have one or two special projects. 

  • Movers, Shakers, and Gizmo Makers……CAMP:  During construction zone week, we will use our imagination to brainstorm, plan, create, and build our very own wacky gizmos and gadgets with the help of “Makedo Kits,” engineers will be tasked with daily challenges to create vehicles, animals, games, machines, and structures. Campers will explore the many uses of duct tape and will create an amazing line-up of functional and wearable items to take home. 

 

Week 2:  June 10 – 14

  • Bees, Butterflies, & Lady Bugs, Oh My…..JR CAMP: What does a bees, butterflies, and lady bugs do all day? How do they travel underground? Where do they live? You will get to explore the hidden world of bees, butterflies, lady bugs, and more during this exciting session. You will have a blast finding out about the hidden world of God’s teeny-tiny creatures.

  • Board Game Camp…..CAMP: Dice rolling, card playing, character creating, strategy taking; all aspects that make up a great board game week! Join your friends in critical thinking, communication, teamwork, strategy, and creativity as you venture from several different board and card games every day of the week! Not only will we play some epic games, but you will get the opportunity to create one yourself, either solo or with a team, and then showcase it with the rest of the group with a round of play! The supplies will be vast and plenty, so you can really go all out with your ideas!

 

Week 3:  June 17 – 21

  • Summer Safari…..JR CAMP: Why do lions roar? Why do hyenas laugh? Find out in our week all about animals! Campers will turn into zookeepers this week as they learn about which animal is the strongest, the fastest or the friendliest.

  • Summer Safari…..CAMP: In this week-long camp, we will travel through time to understand how animals have adapted to changing conditions and how they will have to continue to adapt to survive some of the challenges they face today. Campers will compare and contrast birds, reptiles, or mammals from past to present and create models to depict what they may look like in the future under certain environmental conditions. This Camp will not only engage imaginations, but spark curiosity and drive campers to want to save wildlife.

 

Week 4:  June 24 - 28  

  • Pirates and Princesses…..JR CAMP:  Errrr matey – hoist me black and white flag and prepare to set sail as we voyage through our week. Adventure awaits us in every port where “X” marks the spot and buried treasure is within our reach. Be ye a pirate or be ye a princess, show your spirit by wearing your favorite costume. Shiver me timbers! And, don’t forget your tiara or eye patch.

  • Art Studio…..CAMP: Let your child inner artist shine. This camp will touch on all aspects of creative art including drawing, painting, making friendship bracelets, wacky creations out of recycled materials, collages, and a tie-dyed t-shirt.  Let your creative juices flow while your muscles and mind take a rest!

 

Week 5:  July 1 - 5 (CLOSED July 4)

  • Christmas in July…..JR CAMP:  Join us for a week of Christmas celebrations in the heat of the summer! Together we will have a snowball fight, create a winter snowstorm in a jar and decorate a gingerbread house. You’ll be feeling the Christmas spirit as we make ornaments, learn about how the birth of Christ is celebrated around the world, and even sing some Christmas carols! Merry Christmas all year long.

  • Christmas in July…..CAMP:  Join us for a week of Christmas celebrations in the heat of the summer! Week 6:  July 8 – 12

  • Puppet Paparazzi…..JR CAMP: For the love of puppets! You will have your very own puppet theater and a wide range of puppets to work with in this camp, or bring your own! You’ll act out stories and songs with your new friends, make fun crafts and work together to create a minicamp performance on Friday for family and friends!

  • Lights, Camera, Action Week…..CAMP: They say the neon lights are bright…..on broadway. Students in this camp will explore all aspects of theatre, through acting exercises, theatre games, dance numbers and much more, culminating in a camp performance of “Fractured Fairy Tales” that will delight family and friends on Friday. ​

Week 7:  July 15 - 19    ​​

  • Cooks & Books…..JR CAMP:   Let your favorite books come to life in our delicious and delectable recipes! Love to read as much as you love to cook? In this fun camp, we’ll read some of our favorite books, arts and crafts, and cook up recipes inspired by those stories. 

  • Cooks & Books…..CAMP:  Students will bubble with excitement as they explore books through cooking. The plot, themes and characters from the story will be used to inspire students to create a tasty snack, or a unique craft or even a dramatization of the book. The stories come from all over the world and are carefully chosen for each age group.  

Week 8:  July 22 – 26    

  • Anything Can Happen…JR CAMP: Are you ready for the adventure that lies ahead? Each day will be filled with a surprise mystery theme.  Could it be the Wild Wild West?  Pre-Historic Day?  Escape Room? You never know… just come see for yourself!

  • Play Ball…..CAMP: How many sports can we fit into a week? Let’s find out as we wear ourselves silly with as many games, matches, and tournaments as we can pack into five days.  We’ll include skills and drills and assorted activities to improve balance and focus while building strength and motor skills. Your team is counting on you! Come join in the fun.
