She is passionate about collaboration in the classroom, and creates an environment rooted in honesty and respect. She looks forward to building meaningful connections with each student. Karlyn attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, earning her bachelor’ degree in education. Throughout her career, she gained experience teaching in various educational settings, including high schools, middle and elementary schools. In addition, she has used her expertise at a law firm and a hospital.

Mrs. Cameron loves to explore her creative side. She is currently honing her sewing skills by learning to make some of her clothes. Despite standing 6 feet tall, Karlyn has not participated in basketball or volleyball, but instead channels her energy into the arts through theater and singing. Karlyn’s husband, Luther, is currently pursuing studies at the seminary to become a Lutheran pastor. Their daughter, Violet, will be entering the 7th grade at Wydown Middle School. She shared her mother’s passion for the performing arts and has been studying Mandarin Chinese since Kindergarten.
